$8.35 a gallon.. That's pretty bad. What's your work commute like? People here bitch when it goes over $4 (last year it was $3)... Funny the ones bitching the most are the ones driving 15mpg hogs.

It was $4.50 for regular in Canada a few weeks ago when I was there. Right now it's $3.99 for premium and $3.69 for regular in Minnesota.

Man, that's outragous.

I just put $20.00 (us) @ 3.39 a gallon today.

Lol, that's a bargan for gas here. The lowest it's been in months.

Last week it was $3.48 a gallon.

I did some calculations and got that my volvo does 34 mpg (my car shows liters / 100km, and avarage is 6.9). And my daily commute is 62 miles from and to my work.

Hope I got that right, bit late in the day for doing math as I've never liked math at any time of day.

Today it was $3.47 a gallon where I work. Only filled up $15 dollars worth since it is cheaper where I live (just enough to get home).

Drive a 35 MPG civic and it is still rough (47 mile commute)

I'm glad I moved closer to work. I pay more in rent but it easily makes up for it in gas and time. My daily commute was about 80 miles before I moved, now it's only about 10. My neon at the time got about 33mpg which was nice but still expensive, and it takes premium. Now I only get around 20mpg. Horsepower and gas mileage don't mix well. Now I drive to work in an Impala which gets about 30mpg and park the neon in the garage for special occasions.. I'm really eyeing the new focus or cruze for my daily driver. 40mpg would be nice.

Ouch man, I dunno how you ever did it. Hopefully not busy roads?

All of 2010 I ended up riding the bus up to work since it was so expensive. Probably going to end up doing it again until I graduate or get another job

Yeah it was jam packed every. single. day. Took about 1hr 30minutes each way. On snow days it would take 3+ hours. I did it for about a year. It sucked but thankfully my work did not complain if I arrived late or left early. Not only did it cost in gas, but wear and tear on the car. When I took everything into account, my increase in rent saved me a ton of money. I'm also very impatient, so my level of stress and road rage decreased a lot too. I'm a lot happier and gas prices don't affect me as much. If gas prices start to affect me, i'll buy a damn 80mpg scooter and take that to work. I already want to just because it's AWESOME. Who wouldn't want to go 80MPH on a SCOOTER?

Not sure, right now it's a small machine so I don't think it's that much, the 21 tonner I was operating two weeks ago used up about 4 gallons/hour

Help Australia out and buy the cruze, Holdens Aus is affiliated with the US in the production of the Cruze Model

Refuled today and it was up at 9 USD a gallon now, was a bit of a shock so i saved the recipt, it's down below

163 USD to fill it up

(Liter price in swedish crowns * number of liters on a gallon) / swedish krowns on a USD = USD/Gallon
(15.48 * 3.785411784) / 6.44 = 9.09

1047.38 / 6.44 = 162.6 (total price for filled up tank in USD)

I remember those bikes in the 60's and 70's, we would laugh at them.
We're not laughing now.

Cheapest gas around here is $3.69 per gallon.
