But then we cut off his head and gave it to Mermite. Mermite cut open the skull to get to brain and ate it, but Mermite died because Chrispy had radiation poisoning and he got it as well.

then it turns out he wasn't a zombie, the radiation made chrispy super smart but had the oppisite affect on mermite and made him so dumb he slowly walked around like a mental patent screaming BRAINS!!!!! so that everyone thought he was a zombie.
then again, eather way was a good enough reason to blow his head off.
