Map Contest:

Submit all maps by 12/14/2012- (This is final no updates past this date

any maps submitted past this date will not be in the contest.)

Submit maps to chopperprop@hotmail.com

Make sure all your maps work and end before submission.

Test-Test-Test

(Chopperprop can show you an easy way to test them while
you are building them in single player mode)
AW2 4.41-Coop maps only

Each map maker is allowed up to 3 map entries.

Maps must be original work made by the map maker from start to finish.

Coop maps only.

Maps must work correctly. No constant red balling.

(if the map crashes the server or lags it so game-play is affected

then it does not work correctly and will be rolled and disqualified)

All prizes will be awarded in the form of an amazon gift card.

Grand Prize 50.00

Second place 30.00

Third place 20.00

All maps to be submitted with email address that a gift card can be sent to.

All maps that are used in the contest become part of the map database for

=TMW= and TT-N-LST map database.
Each online player that is a registered user of TT can vote on TT site.

Each in game player can vote rate the maps 0-5 stars one vote per map during

the week that the maps are hosted.

Maps to be hosted on a dedicated server 12/21-12/30/12 winner to be announced 1/1/2013

All prizes are in U.S Dollars.

Chopper, I only have v4.2 the current download rate at Thors Thunder averages 30KB/s, It took 5 mins to download the v4.41patch, (which I did first to test the speed) it would make it a considerable chore to download 2.2GB for the main installer or is it faster?

Do I need it or can I just use the patch on v4.2?

You will ned to delete all previous versions and the aw2 folder leaving only your Typhoon Rising game folder then download the 4.0

Install the 4.40 and then update that folder with the 4.41

There is no password and the user name is user

The first download is big but these links should be faster.
i would reccommend installing the AW2 map building kit as it is a great resource when building these maps.

Managed to drop the http// and get into the server as user and download with a download manager

Comes up default as http:// It must have stuck itself in front of your link, I always backspace and copy in the whole link, it's meant to make it easier if you type in the url I guess.

Well I couldn't get online with it (AW2) last time. I use Combined arms gold

This is the download manager that allows you to download Joint Ops Typhoon Rising directly from Novalogic. You will still need a key to play the game.

youre right I made the same mistake and orginally downloaded Combined arms gold also.
I used the Dm link above and paid for a key, also I bought several more disks from the Knights discount store on Thors thunder link. only 2.50 each Cost more to ship than the game. They came within 2 days of purchase.
