bhd dedicated server

Hi can anybody please guide in how to setup a bhd server on a dedi box.
All bhd files are uploaded to server just need help in getting it running.

Create a shortcut to your BHD .exe, add /serveonly at the end of the target line in Properties.

E.g:

"C:\Games\NovaLogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down\dfbhd.exe" /serveonly

On the target line in shortcut Properties.

Does that work for bhd? never heard of that shortcut for bhd, only jo/dfx... and I just tried it and it didn't do any thing.


All you need to do is go to multiplayer -> Host, set your settings, select your map and click start hosting.


To make it easier to manage the server, as well as add additional admin capabilities, you will want to install either anaconda server manager (http://condascode.com) or the babstats multi-tracker (babstats.com).

the above dont work on both accounts as the dedi box dosent have a gfx card installed on any other ideas guys

You then have to figure out your video card GUID and video card name, and manually enable one of the resolutions in the dfv.cfg file.


BHD was not designed to be run on your typical server - it wants a graphics card and there isn't any dedicated server software such like bf2, at least released to the public. novaworld and their affiliates may have something different....


server has no gfx at all? not even integrated? - check the dfv.cfg file - if the lines hw3d_name and hw3d_guid are filled out, then try changing hw3d_res640x480 to equal 1


If there isn't any gfx card at all then I don't know if just faking the guid and name would work.... never done it.
