Laying Clays Inward or Outwards?

Hi

Been playing BHD fir a few months now'but am a casual player.
However i have over 900 Clay kills according to my stats.
But today a higher ranking player says i lay my clays the wrong way?

I lay my clays the way i face.
So the word BACK point to me and the side i can't see when i lay them points towards my intended target.
Has woRked fine for me.

So am i wrong.

you can't put them differently AFAIK

i guess he was referring to your tactics with clays.

ps: would you have listened to him if he was "lower-ranking"?
