Why no CTF?

Capture the flag was always my Favourite MP mode in the DF Games.

Any idea why it was left out?

idk i thought they should of added that game type also. I expected there to be many more games types instead of those 3.

There is every game type there was in the old DF games, cept that nova dosen't host a server for them anymore.

I've seen a few CTF servers up now and then, mostly in the east or west lobbies. Nova has left it up to the players to make there own custom maps for the CTF, S & D, A & D, and FB.

You got to pay close attention but there are the other game types out there. Try sorting your list (by clicking the colum heading) by game types. They will stand out more easily and you can then join the game you want.

I would say try to find one of the servers hosting the CTF first. They may have a website with some downloads, other then that just try around at some of the websites on the DF top 50.

There are tons of resources to be had on the sites with links here. To be honest I've hardly ever played CTF, and wouldn't know what server are reliable or have great maps.

Just finding ready made maps is not easy. Takes alot of time to make maps and a lot of communities like to keep their custom maps to themselves, can't say that I blame anyone for that.

Best beat is to learn to use the nile and make some of your own if you are going to start hosting a server, but there should be a few CTF servers out there, just sort like I said in my previous post and you will find them.

If u want ill make my newest map a CTF aswell, but the NILE editor is crashing out when i go to edit an item so it`ll have to wait until an update

How is it crashing out?

I noticed that if you want to edit an iteam, when you click on the object tab, you have to make sure it is on list view, not tree view.

Crashed twice on me in tree view, and wouldn't take my changes unless it was in list view.

As for the rashing reason i dont know its after i update to .50 so gonna make sure everything is set up right

I spent ages making a capture the flag map, huge ,but, does anyone play it nooooooooooo ! So maybe others have had the same lack of interest .If you are a ctf freak like me check these picks out .Massive fortress with two dungeons and loads of flags .

It was up for a long time but only a max of 4 people ,so gave up sorry .you may have just missed it .another time okay just search in players next time your in and look for my name and join ,i will stick it up so you can have a gleg at it !
I made it into a coop too and every man and his dog comes in but not in ctf .Its the last one i make
