Flat Terrain for DFX2

I thought I had read somewheres that there was going to be a flat terrain for DFX2. I've tried searching through various forums, mods, utilities for anything about it but have come up empty. I did find the flat terrain for DFX. If there isn't a specific download for DFX2 can the DFX flat terrain be incorporated into DFX2?

All the files that are for the flat terrain for DFX can probably just be dropped into the DFX2 folder as the engines are pretty much the same.

I have jungle/desert/snow flat terrains if you want them.

Okay, I'll reply to this when I get them updated. Bear in mind that anyone who plays maps on these terrains will also need the terrains too (if you're hosting a server that uses them, people will get booted if they don't have it).

if them terrain file not to big! add them with the map name.bms file inside the zip-file, when you upload them with a readme.txt. telling others to place the terrain files inside the game folder with the name.bms file

some people (newbies) may not know anything about maps other files so it would be handy to give them a heads up.

Well I've tried the DFX flat terrain on a DFX2 map and it crashed the mission editor. It shows up in the terrain listings but when you try to incorporate it into a map the MED just blanks out and you get an error report. Any suggestions?

First thing I did once DFX2 was installed was extract the flat terrain from JOESC and slip it into DFX2, as a way of viewing all the 'new' items, this flat terrain is available as 'sonics flat terrain' at the DF barracks or perhaps here.
note it's not really that flat looks like paddy fields or sum such but does the trick

Chuck those terrains in your game directory and see if they work.

And BTW William, those terrains you attached won't work. It's just the .trn file, there's like 5 other ones that you need.
