Smile A day to remember!

Tomorrow is the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings on June 6th 1944. To all those brave men and women from America, Britain, Canada, France and all the other nations who took part in the greatest invasion in history, our heartfelt thanks for the liberty you gave us and for your supreme sacrifice in the liberation of Europe from Nazi tyranny.

God Bless you all where ever you came from!

Warmest Regards

My Grandfather (who is still alive) was in WWII as a foot soldier in the Canadian Army. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe he landed on D-Day. Juno Beach I think...

YA!! we should have a event to remember them, maybe an all day server of WWII style maps, starting with the D-day invasion working our way up into the land!! good idea for DFHQ maps makers!

My Grandad, also served in WW2/RAF mostly Bombing Raids, aerial combat, sadly passed away 3 years ago, but the chats we had about the friends he had lost at Omaha & Juno or the times he had been shot down etc are much in my memory and the evening's spent talking with him are also much missed. Today is a day to reflect on the memories of those past and gone and those who are still present today, to give tribute to all that served and gave their life, if they had not i would not like to think how the world would have shaped with Nazi tyranny
