BHD Modding Weapon Attributes

Greetings All:

I've just downloaded the official BFD Mod tools and was trying to determine how to do the following for the single-player campaign only:

1: Edit existing ( default ) weapon attributes ( e.g. magazine capacity, max ammo carry capacity, accuracy, rate-of-fire, damage, etc. )

2: Improve player character movement/running speed.

Near as I can tell, the weapon attributes are handled by the ammo.def and weapon.def files, which are located in the localres.pff file. I have no idea what files determine character movement speed. Furthermore, I don't know how to extract, edit, and repack the relevant .def files. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance!
