The Gamers Benchmark

3DMark05 is the latest and hottest version of the very popular 3DMark series. By combining full DirectX®9.0c support with completely new tests and graphics, 3DMark05 continues the legacy of being industry standard benchmark.

Run the test then submit your score to the online browser. Reply here with you score and the 'compare' link you get when you submit your result online.

I will add your score below to the list, highest at the top. This is just for fun, there are no prizes, you will just get a feel of how your comp compaires to the other gamers around here.

the 3d mark score

mine was 1168

but mine and panthers are much alike... why is my score so bad? do i really need 2gb of ram?

the only differences i seen where

memory i have 1gb he has 2gb
cpu clock i have 2.2 he has 2.4 (not a big difference)
gfx card.. i have geforce 6200 he has ati something.. (my card is brand new and the clock speeds are very close)

the only thing it could be is memory..

EDIT: i just looked up info on p's card vs mine... BIG DIFFERENCE!!!

this makes me mad i just paid 180 bucks for this card.. i may never buy nvidia again...

P's card was $300 at least... don't see why you are so mad.

Nvidia 7800 GTX would kill panther's card.

Mine runs around $500..

7800 GTX wouldn't beat my card by much (according to tomshardware.com) unless you put it in SLI mode..

my friend is sticking dual SLI's in holy forks I wanna see his benchmark.

7800 GTX with SLI are like $1,400... such a waist seeing as right now even the 6800GT's w/o SLI can run almost any game at highest settings without a problem..

I don't think it is worth upgrading anyway... not for a few years. I am going to wait for my system to become ancient before I upgrade.
