Using the DFX:MED, first redirect the pilot (SSN) to the chopper. Then place waypoints in the sky for the chopper to follow. Then create another event that says if the pilot is attached to the chopper then redirect the chopper (SSN) to follow the waypoints that you've set.

hi dave it's me know as rewyou at novaworld, you don't need events to attach ALs to ssn.

That's true, you don't have to use events to attach AI to vehicles. But using events is the proper and perferred method.
Using the Item attributes to redirect AI to vehicles maybe easier, but it is not recomended because several possibile reasons. Like SSN changes, ssn cleanup, or other events. Not to mention you still have to set the vehicles to follow waypoints after the AI have redirect to the vehicle, so why not just use events in the first place?
