I'd say nVidia probably has the upper hand at the moment, and if you have a really beefy power supply, probably the GTX 295.

You do know a quick Google search could have answered your question though:

http://www.google.com/

Type in "best graphics cards for games" (without the " marks).

Look what I found:

http://internetgames.about.com/od/ha...videocards.htm

I'd say ATi has the upper hand. They have the best price/performance ratio right now. But i'd wait awhile until their DirectX 11 cards come out before you purchase a new card.

get a Nvidia GeFrce 9500. grat video card. it'll cost you almost $300 USD tho. but it'll run COD4 and other high end games at full graphics settings with great frames per second (average of 40 to 60 FPS).

Looking on eBay there are video cards like the 9800 that have cheap bids - so maybe you'll be lucky over there (I know that half of them are probably used, but a lot of used stuff is still good).

next time dont ask on the best card, but ask what you should get for x amount of cash... If you ask for the best the most expensive good cards will be told ^^

me i like ATI better then NVIDIA

but again you have to watch-out from buying 3rd party names! they use ether one of their chips for their video card, their update die off real fast and some time ATI and Nvidia don't support these 3rd party MFG video cards to much.

i would search out direct MFG brand names like ADM/ Ati Radeon or NVIDIA brands card made by them.

but there are some sweet great video cards with ether 1T ram and around $100.00 ADM/Ati radeon i found PCIe DDr2 and DDr3

1.) 2ea new Diamond 4670PE31GDT ATI Radeon HD 4670 GDDR3 1GB PCI-Express DVI Video Card "Click-here" to see it
2.) as steve said above: 2ea Diamond ATI Radeon HD5870 search products by Diamond "Click-here" price very

Just say how much cash you want to spend, then the rest of us can pick the best one for the price.
