Router
my routers connectivity says "Excellent" yet i cannot load any videos from youtube or any other site, help.
my router is a belkin54g

no, i can load them, but not all the way, it goes like, an 8th of the way, and stops (the buffering thing)
same thing happens with downloading, i try to download something and it stops someplace between 20 and 50%

Try to connect your laptop or pc directly to the modem and download or youtube something and tell us how it went. That way we can see if its your computer or the router

Someone else might have put up another wireless router within your routers wireless area and used the same channel, change the channel on your router and see if it helps

i'd definately try installing firefox and trying that instead of ie8, at least it will help fault find.
you can change the wifi channel in your router's options. start > run > 'cmd' > 'ipconfig /all' ENTER look for the line that says Default Gateway, it will be something like 192.168.0.1 open up internet explorer and in the address bar type the ip address in and press enter. you will get your router's web interface. you might need to log in, if you tell us what specific router you have we can tell you your username an dpassword unless someone in your house has changed it infact telling us the router model will help anyway. also i asked if you were using xp because it has a really annoying feature with wifi. you can disable it by following this guide: http://paininthetech.com/2005/10/25/...-in-windows-xp
