Modern Warfare 2 is....

actually good, infact its amazing IWNet works brilliantly, no lag at all, maps are a decent size for 18 players and after 2 hours im rank 13 and already been accused of cheating

cant believe im saying this.. but good job IW..

Just finished the campaign and i must say, it was epic! A few shocks, but a few of them were playing in the back of my mind while i was going through the game.

Loads of weapons, Awesome graphics (better than 4 and WAW), Great storyline, Great design (in-game cut scenes, cinematics, characters, levels etc).

I haven' played multiplayer yet, and im a bit weary because i want to like it, but so far ive seen good things about it, so i might check it out later.

Im glad they've pulled it off though. Lots of people are going to bitch and moan, but they're just whiners looking for the next thing to tear down.

Well worth the £35

i heard that the multiplayer is awesome through the PS3 (which that is what i am probably gonna get it for someday).

and how many hours did it take you to complete the game because it was only released at midnight? lol

Pretty glad It has multi player or £44.95 would have been bad if it was just the campaign. though I did like playing it through. just over too soon.

Yeah and i didn't start playing it until 3pm ;P Finished it about 8.30 but that includes breaks for food and what not. I must say i wanted to complete it as quickly as possible, so i started on veteran and died way too many times, so i ended on regular haha. But now that i know what happens, Veteran is the next goal. The Favela level on veteran is ridiculous!

Played the multiplayer as well this evening and it is awesome. The variety of weapons and attachments is immense and the general look and feel of the game is top notch. I must say i was doubtful of IW.net, but with the matchmaking, i found a game in less than 3 seconds and had no lag or connection problems. Theres lots of unlockable titles, emblems, weapons, attachments, perks, perk upgrades etc, so its hard to get bored tbh. Level 10 at the moment, so thats gonna need some work

Love it!

I finished the campaign in 6.5 hours on Regular. I'm not gonna bother with Veteran since it's not even fun.

After reading IGN's review they've said that the storytelling isn't as deep as the previous games, but there's lots of emphasis on action. I still hope the story can hold its end good enough. Also good to hear IWNET's going good (cheers BB and Simon).

You guys seen the user votes on Metacritic? 96% based on critic reviews and 4.9 as user scores. :O

* Edit, PC's user votes is 1.3. Whoa.

Yeah it is shocking, especially as your controlling the character and not just watching a cutscene. But its part of the story. I was reading some articles about it last night and i agree with what they were saying; if it was a movie, people wouldn't say anything, but because its a game and you control it, they're up in arms over it.

Personally, i think its a good addition to the game, because it opens your eyes to how terrible it is, and i know i felt mixed emotions while playing that level. Maybe its because im such a big believer that games can be just as powerful in their storytelling as books or movies, but this game really made me think about the world and how corrupt people are.
