A Sad Day
I originaly posted this in my squads (CTO) public forum today but Its really for ALL of you. I hope that each one of you will find something of value in this post. I know many of you can relate, but take a moment to reflect.
On june 15th Meena, oldest daughter of my friend Praful, died at the age of 30. On sept 11th her husband Mike passed away while Meena was pregnant with their daughter. Meena leaves behind her 6 month old daughter, and my friend who was a proud Grandfather is now a father once more. I attended the funeral today, and though death is no stranger to me it always forces me to reflect. In this case there is time to think, in some there was no time till a quiet moment afterward, but the thoughts are always the same and my beliefs are reinforced more each time. I want to share with you a verse from a poem today. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomarrow. My lifes been full; I savored much: Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. To sum up my thoughts Its not the Quantity of ones years on this earth that matter, its the QUALITY of that time that counts. Life is Fragile and short. Do not hesitate to be kind to each other. Do not be afraid to give of yourself; whether a gentle word in time of anothers need or taking a moment to help a friend when it may not be convenient for you. tomarrow you may not have the chance to say to that person "i love you" or "i value your friendship". These acts improve the QUALITY of not only the recipients life, but yours as well. Meena will be sorely missed, but those who knew her are comforted by the fact the she lived a quality life; she gave of herself freely. These thoughts were particulary clear as i laid rose petals on Meena today and looked into Praful's eyes and saw the sparkle that ive known over the years was gone. To all my DFLW friend whether we've met or have yet to. remember to be good to each other. God bless Rascal~cto~

thanks for posting your message.
it's sad that we need tragic events to make us realise what is really important to us. this week a member of the *PR* squad told us some very sad news aswell, i really hate it when bad news comes to such nice people and i'm sure you will agree. although a lot of people who talk over the net never meet, it does not mean we care. God bless your friends family and all those involved. |

WoW some deep thread here. I didnt plan to come in here and need a tissue. But dammit. Sorry to hear the bad news M8. Like you Steve said it does take tragedy sometimes to open peoples eyes and realize life is too short. Man be nice to one another and enjoy your time that you do have.
Ok enough of my rambling. Time for me to go Home. LOL |
