I got 'LEFT 4 DEAD' sitting on my desk waiting to be installed here right now,
I've been told that I will be disipointed ..if so I'll flick it to ebay
but not before I've had a really good look at it's engine and assets
Australia is pooring billions into trying to control the web, it aint and won't work
keep the web free

It's junk............now on Ebay, but not Australia
It reminds me of Quake 3 to an extent, but in Quake at least you got some cool weapons to play with, just like the 'pop' music ratings thing, here now... gone tomorrow
but it's a lot easier to write music than a 'new' game.
Like bad mappers you gotta ask 'what are they trying to say to the player??????????
okokokokokok..ok back to W11 Tennis (i'm loosing wieght for this summer down here) lolololol!

Out of all the video gamers that play games like this, how many of them actually get negatively influenced by these types of games? I bet you it's a small percentage.

What about knives? We use them everyday for cutting food, yet people can use it as an effective murder weapon. Are knives banned in Australia?

Soon my friend. They will wrap everyone in plastic wrap and make you listen to static on the radio because any other form of activity may have violence.

I see nothing wrong with war games, using weapons...... I play war games not for gore or the "fun" of shooting someone. but for the art of war, the strategic side of war.

but I oppose games like L4D because they are all about blood and gore. it wouldn't be so bad if you couldn't see the zombies exploding in a shower of blood, brains and intestines..... it's disgusting, not entertaining. and there's really no strategic properties to games like these. it's pretty much all about running around shooting zombies with overly powered weapons.

I just can't get into fiction based games, it just seams so silly to me.....

Well a lot of people do find that entertaining, and if it's entertaining, it's fit for a video game.

well what ever flips yer cookie........... LOL

but still there should at least be an age limit on it. I'm sure no one would want a 6 year old growing up on blood and gore. they should leave that stuff to more mature people.

There are age limits on games. If someone violates that, it's their fault.

i thought the ban was a result of Austratilia's age classification? their highest is a 15+ certificate, but the game is 18+ so they dont have a classification for it? maybe i'm confusing it with another country

Actually my bad Skinny, I read your post wrong. You mean you said there should be an age limit on that particular game (thought you were speaking about all games in general ).

I dont know the specifics on this case but good chance that steve is right. In video games we dont have anything beyond the MA15+ rating, which requires that to purchase a game you have to be over 15, or purchase it with adult supervision if your under 15.

The same system is used for Movies and the like, for movies the next classification up is R18+ which means people under 18 cant rent, buy the object and X18+ which are things with significant sexual content.

Literally every politician except 1 wants the R18 added to video game classification, but the 1 is able to stop it

Dosent stop online sales and the like though.

yeah, I meant for games such as L4D 2. I mean, come on, what person in the right state of mind would want a little kid playing something like this. they'll think, "oh hey this is fun. I wonder what happens if I shoot someones face in real life......."
