Lucky bums. Meanwhile we're being burnt to death by ridiculously hot summer temperatures. I hate summer. Anyone else hate summer?

Yeah that's normal temps here too. But we are still at 50F! It's nuts! Sould be around 14 F around now and snow! But it just get nuttier each year. Even north parts are f'ed. It's as if winter has shifted clockwise! It starts in januari usually (now, not when I was younger!) and no frickin' snow at christmas (which sucks!)

I like the winter, I rather take -30 to -40F any day compared to 90F Around 68F is nice though, but I wouldn't want it year round.

Officially Summer today! I like Spring lol... because it's my birthday season and because it's not too hot and not too cold usually...

I think NZ is one of the worst countries in the world for skin cancer, etc. because of those bloody ultra-violet rays lol. All these kids thinking they're ''bulletproof''. (I hardly wear a hat at school anyway lol! Or wear sunscreen!)

We were crakcing 125F last week and were not yet into the hottest part of summer....

I love it, nothing better than a cold drink in front of TV watching the ashes in summer, going out at lunch and doing the BBQ and street cricket thing.. To quote the great... "MARVELOUS". Better when its a dry heat than a humid heat, but it beats winter any day of the week....

Chris: No offcence mate but thats just plain stupid. I realise that they probably dont drill skin safety into you like they do here, but sunscreen and a hat is a must...

They do in fact drill the skin safety in, but not enough to get me into a habit lol. For real, I've got to start.

I know a few people who had been sunburnt in the eyes before... eeuuucchhh.

i hear about all these massive snow pours, expected near where i live, and seeing on the news theres going to be up to several feet, and its goin on in other places. but i want it to snow here bad, and all the other states are getting some serious snow, its like all the towns around mine are enclosed in it, and yet the snow borders around my town.

OMG! Snow! Believe it or not, but i must be the ONLY person in the world that has never seen snow before. Or touched it. Or tasted it...or whatever else you do with it. My sister has. My mum has. My dad has...everyone but me! I feel so alone..

Summer still sucks. Had another beauty of a lightning storm lastnight, but my camer'a batteries were dead...so no pics. Its ok to cry.

I'd rather be freezing my ass off than melting to death. Because at least when you're freezing you have clothes to counter it!

And Chris - I doubt NZ would be the 'leader' of skin cancer. It'd be any country that sits close to the equator.

No to both...people further down have darker skin and arent as likely to have skin cancer...

It's got to be front-liner...

And wait, I haven't seen snow before or touched it! Didn't I tell you we had a lot in common?

Im not sure where i heard this, but i believe that england is up there, though far from the equator, they really dont have the same sort of ideas about skin cancer prevention that places like aus and the equatorial belt do...

Never seen snow IRL either...

Still no snow here in MN, which is extermly odd. It did get cold this week though. Still in the mid 20's though.
