eek HELP! MAP EDITOR FOR XP

I downloaded the map editor for xp and it doesnt work.Has anyone else had this problem and have they been able to get it to work at all. I am going crazy not being able to build maps.So Help Please! I am going crazy. lol

i dont have any probs hahahahha but i only use the dfmed 2 and ddfmed 1 (for a squad) and the dfmed2 give 1 prob in the beginning but thats solved by a reinstall My DF is so messed up that there aint no original map in it anymore.....except for those in the editor

Depending on the game version you're getting a map editor for, make sure you extract it to your main DF folder and then create a shortcut and place that shortcut on your desktop. It needs to use the same files as the regular editor does. It will not overwrite the stock editor.
