kinda depends on your current setup, because depending on what you get you might need a new motherboard and ram.

if your socket A then i'd get an AMD Barton 3200+ from just under £100 > http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...acp_2d058_2dam

if you have more money than that then go for 64 bit > http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/AMD_64_Bit.html

basically the best thing to do is find out the max amount u want to spend and get something at that price. otherwise you will be tempted to spend less and get something that will not last as long.

personally i would go with AMD, their prices are cheaper.

but as i said before i dont know your current setup so you might have an intel board

I upgraded my rig recently. Went through DABS & got P4 3.4, Intel M/Board and 6800GT for £513!!! As Steve said, it depends on your setup and what you got to spend but shop around, there are some great deals out there! Forget PC World, they don't have jack!!!

try ebay if you have paypal - i am building a new rig and bought everything for it off ebay for under a grand US

ill post pics and info when i get it finished up later 2day (waiting on the 3.2 processor and heat sink to get delivered this afternoon)

in PC World near me, they have a sale on and an AMD Athlon 64 is about £99.99 . not a bad price if you ask me. check out their site man... www.pcworld.co.uk
