Very annoying when they start discontinuing stuff :/... Dodge discontinued the intermediate shaft for my old car and no other vendors had options available so had to go around to scrap yards pulling them so I had a few spares for later on...

oh yea... i drive a slightly modified Suzuki Samurai and i actually went as far as to have an extra couple of vehicles on hand for parts being it was actually cheaper to do that than to buy individual parts... could buy an entire scraped vehicle at the time for around $1,800-$2,000, which was around what an engine, axle, or transmission went for.... everything else i can't get i build in my machine shop... i went as far as to replace the center contact assembly in the distributor cap because i couldn't find anyone who had a copper contact cap in stock... now i got a distributor cap with replaceable contacts....

here is what i mean by modified...

and one climbing out of a hole..

Looks sweet man! If I had more space I'd probably buy an entire parts car for my neon but instead I just fill the basement with parts to annoy the wife

this is what i had to do for my distributor cap when i couldn't find one after the carbon button died... i made a threaded in retainer so i can replace it when it goes bad... ill do the same for the other contacts when they die...
