You said you don't have a firewall?

That is the only think I can think of blocking it.

@ Atholon the IPX/SPX is ONLY for network play needed. for online play it uses the old TCP/IP protocol

I dont have have IPX/SPX installed and DF2 works like a charm for me.

@ vzx A AntiVirus does NOT contain a firewall......
And do you get a error message while trying to play DF2 ?

Sorry Kat that's not true...not in my case.

If you have your DSL hooked up to your computer through your network card...

At least it worked when I installed IP/SPX, I had tried everything and right when I did that it let me join.

Go to Start > Control Panel > See if it says "Switch to classic View" or "Switch to category View." > Click on switch to classic view if it says it. > Double click on Network Connections > Find your ethernet connection an right click on it. > Click on properties. > Highlight TCP/IP and click install > Find protocol > Find IPX/SPX, then click it and then click ok.

It should work now.

I'm usin W7 and I can not find the path, Highlight TCP/IP and click install > Find protocol > Find IPX/SPX...
