players.txt file DFLW

Hey, me and a few freinds are trying to develop a program that records all of the players names and players ip's that enter a server by recording the info that comes up in the players.txt file in the DFLW folder, however we can't seem to get the players.txt file working. Does anyone know what program we need to install to get it going properly? at the moment just making a text file called players doesnt do anything. I used to have it ages ago before i reformatted, but i can't remember what program put it there. Any feedback is greatly appreciated

If this is successful, we'll finaly have a way to stop all those people who come into servers under alias names flaming up the place, and we might even be able to find out who some of those regular cheaters are if we're lucky.

hmm i seem to remember faintly about something, but it might have been df2.

game shortcut ends with '... .exe /stats'

liek the '.exe /d' switch for aiding mods etc.

sry i cant remember more than that, and i know its sketchy, maybe it will jog someone elses' brain

Well unfortunately we havent managed to get this to work yet, currently still developing it. Thanks for trying anyway though.


On a different note, does anyone have the DFLW version .31 No cd patch? FF may be hosting a 25 vs 25 Europeans vs Americans match soon, but it has to be on .31 for it to work.

i found .37 update and no cd patch, but no .31 version listed

these were i found some older version of DF:LW updates
