looks like it was done in 3ds max but its just a bend filter maybe a wave and it seems like it could be a bit smoother but I like the reflection look on the right side but I dont think the clouds go very well with it imo

ah ... i thought it was done in C4d :S

it was made in C4D

its just 5 toruses with a twist and bend deformer added. then i rotated and duplicated all the spheres and added some perspective to it....then a material. I couldnt add Hypernurbs to the null object because i dont have enough memory to render it...so thats why its a little jaggy.

the concept of the piece was: the render is kinda like a satellite and its falling towards earth....its falling through clouds at this point so thats why i added clouds
