Its always been free for me, I own an original Sierra copy of HalfLife, For some reason I can download all for HL1 for free on Steam just because I own an original Sierra version..
From Mods to Blushift,counter-strike,opposing forces,day of defeat plus more. If anyone ever sees the Sierra version in some bargain bin I would grab it, Its a lot cheaper...

i remember play 1.5 with someone, was it you gas ?.
CSS, is improved graphics... thats it really, alot of 1.6 players never stop bitching about source, if you're alright with mediocre graphics and alot of players, go with 1.6, cheaper, and popular, but if you need sexy eye candy, even though its more pricey, go for source, i love source hmm, back to the subject on hand, not many servers, eh ?

1.5>1.6 lol
It just seemed that the newer counter strikes that come out arnt as good as the old one. 1.5 was when i had the most fun playing.

1.5 owns 1.6...the bots are stupid in 1.6. Better off downloading PODBots for 1.5 (i think?). 1.5 was the only one I ever liked...

haha i remember podbots on 1.5. i played 1.5 for a couple of years.. loved it, ran a clan. played 1.6 for bout a year, had a fairly good clan on that. now i kidna play css on and off

I saw my friend play CS1.5, and I didn't really like what I saw. There is however, a patch that upgrades 1.5 to 1.6 though. :P
Is this released with the original HL1 that you can play? What about this?: http://www.soft32.com/Download/Free/.../4-2542-1.html Just asking because my CS1.6 has HL1 disabled, making it kinda like a ''standalone''. Chris
