Wink tip: DF:BHD/JOTR/DF:Xtreme settings

firewall should not be set to:
1.) stealth mod: "Uncheck it"
2.) Block portscan: "uncheck it"
3.) firewall security setting uncheck: 'Intrusion Prevention System' [Sygate firewall]
4.) firewall set it to med range, if too high it may block game and the server working together.

===========================================
B.)Monitor and game do not set them to same Resolution
Game set to 800x600
desktop set to: 1024x768

you can have the Desktop set to 16bit & the game play at 32bit.

some don't like thier desktop set to 16bit do to it don't look so good.
===========================================
Disable: Screen saver as you playing the game, DVD,Tv. it will butt into the fun of it.
===========================================
shortcut to desktop:
1.) Press: Alt & Tab
2.) Windows Flag key & D-key
3.) Alt & Ctrl & Esc
===========================================

if they are set to the same Resolution you not be able to get to desktop.
From experience, it isn't the same Resolution, it is the Color settings.

Right now I run both my monitor and BHD:TS at 1280 x 1024 and can alt-tab out of and back into the game with no problems.

The difference is that my monitor is set at 16 bit, and the game at 32 bit.

we was talking about going to desktop from the game.

if the desktop and the game are set to the same settings game will act-up on a player. you can't have both set to the same settings.

desktop should off set to what the game is playing as. if they are both set to 32bit, a lot of players have their desktop set to 32bit image look better in 32bit, so get around this game set other then what the desktop is set at.

some players have their desktop set to 16bit 800x600 and the game set to 800x600 32bit.

but most players have their desktop set to: 1024x768 32bit and the game set to 800x600 32bit. if they are same game may not go to desktop and lockup

game and desktop should be on same resolution otherwise the game res has to be streched by its software rather than running naturally

will maybe in the UK but for me it work fine without any trouble, maybe it the hardware card some work not like others.

i have game set to 800x600 32bit
i have desktop set to 1024x768 32bit

i never had any trouble at all

by the way the game change it automatic when your in the game and windows change it back to normal when going to desktop.

i running on Windows Xp Home SP/2 and had use Windows XP pro SP/2 all so as will never had any trouble with it at all.

but i use Xfire IM in the game play now days, never have to go to desktop or use any 3rd part live voice tool to talk with others Xfire has it, in some games you can text and talk live with others inside the game if they not even in it at all.

I Run Halo CE at 1024x768 and auto-join in when some one call up to join in with Xfire IM members games play they don't even have to step out to call you up ether all done inside the game.
