JOTR compared with DFX

Although I've played a number of Novalogic games, I didn't pick up JOTR after disliking a beta demo and finding it to be ugly and scrappy, even for a beta. However, DFX came out soon after and features an excellent engine - great graphics, great input (except Novalogic's insistance on strange crouch/prone controls - if I'm crouching and I press the crouch key, I want to stand up dammit!), and as it's a budget game I can't imagine they spent a lot of time on the engine. Is the final (and fully patched) JOTR as good technically as DFX?

Also is there single player? Co-op? LAN play without an internet connection? What's the general consensus?

Both games have cheats..so Idont really like them...But ill go with DF:X because its alot more fun than JO..And we (n3m) need something to play till BF2 comes out..after that..ill say bye to Nova games.

DF-X is waaaaaaaaaaaay better. JO lags a lot more and it is harder to kill people when it is jumpy.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, DFX is the G rated fversion of JO, Same engine, slightly different graphics setting and s few differnt rules. JO is a more advanced game that requires skill to play, DFX isn't. JO was designed as a onli9ne only game, DFX is a remake of DF2. JO has better weapon and skin selection, dfx your stuff with what you got. DFX is a fun game for taking a break, but JO is way better.

look lets not talk about cheats or cheaters ok.

if you see a real cheater in a server? go to novaworld.com and log in search for the player in there uptop you see "cheater report" click-on it and fill in the information it ask for. then send it in.

please don't ask what cheaters or anything to do with it.

read the rules ok. its really not needed here.

there are a lot of people who are not too crazy about JOTR family or DF: Xtreme and some who would die for them.

i am not crazy about ether one. i love the old DF: serials the new one are really dead to me. game play for me is a dead thing. and not the only one the game have to many bugs and lag to much for me to play.

fact of life there going to many cheaters in all games but don't need to talk about it here.

talking about cheaters in this thread may make it a close or remove so let stay away from that subject ok
