No Tsunami alert for Indian islands after quake.

PORT BLAIR, India (Reuters) - India's Andaman and Nicobar islands are not in danger of a tsunami after an earthquake hit the area on Sunday, the island chain's top federal administrator said.

"We have got reports from all inhabited islands through the police and there has been no casualties or damage," federal top administrator Ram Kapse told Reuters. "There has been no tsunami alert."

The U.S. Geological Survey earlier said the quake measuring 7.0 struck at 1542 GMT. It said the danger of tsunamis had passed if no such waves had been observed near the epicenter within an hour. Kapse was talking over an hour after the quake.

Thank goodness!

Well the way I look at it, What do they expect to happen when they keep pounding the earth with bombs, Its got to do some damage....

Plus we keep changing the planets weight distrabution, We take materials from one place and build in another place and adding more weight in our city areas, This also must have some effect on our planet.

not counting digging up metals, coal, blocking up waters ways, removing woodlands the ground be comes lighter and the earth shell (upper layers) do things it have not done in the pass, oh and lets not for get the earth is getting hotter (green house gases)by the year not like the earth core is hotter already when the outer layers get warmer, the outer layers be come thinner too sooner or later the earth will be come a Melton rock to live on.
