Xfire Explanation

Can someone give me an overview of basically what Xfire is?
Chief ADFP told me some of what is is about but to top it off can you guys tell me what is is used for?
And some screensohts of it used online will be good and maybe an extra information fill-in.

tracking friends, right click their name, and go right into the server they are into, track people in teamspeaks also... and thats about it, its like msn, for gamers, without email adresses, but usernames.

XFire is almost like the Pinger and TeamSpeak combined lol in a way if you think about it also add Steam to that!

here the best part there no adware or spy-ware in it at all.

instant join don't work with all games you can lookup the listing to see what one it do support or writer down the server name your Buddy is in, then have xfire start the game up and log-in then lookup the server name your Buddy is in. like some instant join game for sample Halo i can join without looking for the server my bud is playing inside. one click i am there.

there is one draw back to it, don't down load files or updates as you play a game, it will make the game play like crap do to lag or bandwith your ISP have you setup on.

you have to the option to stop all downloads or enable a download inside Xfire. i stop all before i play a game using it.

by right click-on the file name you see option to use same for other users name too.

go buy a 56K modem before you even try to use Xfire and try to play a game with it, 28k modem don't do the job good.
