Funny how people that give Vista an honest chance without the asumption that it sucks almost instantly say it's an upgrade from XP.

Windows 7 > Vista > XP

You do know that 7 is practically Vista with a different theme? They made it similar to Vista to help compatibility and upgrading from Vista. Also so people wouldnt have to learn how to use a completely new OS

While this is partially true, there are a ton of added features that really appeal to alot of people, especially me.

Taskbar, Calculator, WordPad, Paint, Native Blu-Ray, DirectX 11, Libraries, Sticky Notes, Redesigned and better start menu IMO, UAC is not annoying, Native Virtual HD Support, PowerShell, XP mode, Aero Snap + Shake + Peek (these are priceless)

There is no need for desktop icons once you learn the actual benefits of the start menu.

My programs are stored in separate groups in the start menu, "games", "security
"..... this prevents a huge single program list to sort though.

Toolbars rule
Created a toolbar with "My Computer" as its start. I can navigate everywhere on my pc with only 1 click.

So true! Although I do run Rocket Dock since I like the concept of a dock, and the look.
