NovaWorld Update

5th August:

Is that Angel Falls?!

And look at this:

Quote:
We are currently working to improve Novaworld and to add new service. In the short term, We don't expect any outages, but machines are being moved and hardware is being replaced so some outages may occur.

In few weeks, Novaworld will be moved to a higher bandwidth location. This will cause an outage of a day or so as domains are repointed.

This move should positively affect Land Warrior servers, Match Making, Novaworld.com, as well as Black Hawk Down, Joint Operations and Delta Force Xtreme stat servers.

Additional work is being done asynchronously on server deployment and server hardware.

I don't know 100% if that's Angel Falls, but apparently it looks like it. Everyone on the NW forums are saying that and saying it's the only confirmed pic of Angel Falls and all, but I'm not saying I believe them 100%.

I'm just saying it's a possibly it could be Angel Falls?

If you look closely at that pic, you can probably see some recycled items. Guard tower, string of lights, that whiteish building, etc.

i know in the pass they remove some Stats servers from the older games and use them for the newer games to open up for players Stats servers and matches they NW-host (mostly end after 6-8mo NW-Tourney matchs) when the new release game first open for retail.

but they have never close all the Stats servers to host a new game from the older game at all. this is more like a move as they said

Nova should only really have 2-3 stat servers up for each game. Some of their servers are never even joined. What a waste of power and all.

Is this going in the News section? If not, that's sweet. The main highlights was the Angel Falls header at the top of the screen, and their "big move".

See the coordinates up the top right hand corner?
5°58′03′′N
62°32′08′′W

Convert them to decimal degrees here: http://boulter.com/gps/
and you get 5.9675 -62.535556

Put those into google maps: and have a look at whats nearby...
http://www.google.com.au/maps?near=%...32%27+8.00%22+(5.967500,+-62.535556)&geocode=&q=angel+falls&f=l&hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=5.966842,-62.531894&spn=0.009444,0.016522&z=17&lci=lmc:wikipedia_en

if you have a close look at the header logo you will see that the buildings are from JO:TR nothing new to see. I think it was part of a joke inside NW to stire up a few things. But in saying that.. i do feel the server upgrade is to make way for the new beta about to be released and eventually the new game as they won't be able to do so down the track once the servers are active again.

Log into your NW account and have a look at the game keys you have, there is a new listing for DF:FA beta.

Actually he could be possibly right, as JET said the exact same thing. If you look closely you can see JO stuff, that looks as if it's on JO's engine. It's either that or Nova's new game must be on low-ass graphics settings, LOL.

Thanks for the heads up BLADE, it's here if anyone wants to see:

total brand new game is needed and not one that has been redone to say it new do no then for the hopeful buyer

like Farcry 1 "Bio-weapon research" (UniSoft) they coming out with a brand new game totally new farcry 2: action in south Africa conflict.

unlike Novalogic, inc they going to use old item for a base line to go by. with their track record its going to have old items in it as will. no shocker there

you vs drug lords is all they can come up with.

they dear not base the game on the meddle east wars, they would be in deep trouble for it

only hope its not large number of player in a server it can kill the fun in it.

how one more thing i hope they listing to adult gamers then cry baby's how things should be and update the game to change it to be less then when it came out

BTW i don't care if it punkbuster supported or not! don't matter if the game play sucks to start with will not help it.
PunkBuster ban a lot of players for error they had, 50/50 chance don't help, get unbanned is like asking god for a solid gold truck.
