Angry Computer keeps locking up

I haven't played Joint Ops for quite a while but decided to start playing again.
For some reason my PC intermittently freezes up. The screen freezes and he sound loops.

I haven't changed any hardware since I last played the game.
All my drivers are up to date.
I have tried uninstalling/installing the game and different video drivers but the fault still occurs.

The fault only occurs with Joint Ops & Joint Ops TR

Anyone else have this problem ?

have you install anything that maybe blocking items from running in the back ground? a security item that you did not have before last time you play the game?

The problem is finally solved.
After dismantling and cleaning all my PC fans the fault has not reoccurred.
Strange how it only occurred in JO.

will JOTR is heavy on the resource of the system.

cooling of the fan (fan blades) may have tobe clean is all, CPU and Video Card cooling fans and grill (ribs), and maybe the PSU needed it. dust can hold heat in a lot of it can do it...

PSU can go down hill too from game play not being clean out using a air can (Compress air) or under power can close system down without a warning baam system blackout

Heat and power are the two things that cause most random freezes

Important Beware

I played Jo and had the same problem, until it crashed my computer and I had to but a new one. So beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have having problems, then don't paly that game. DF2 is the best game that novalogic has made and it doesn't ware on your computer as much as JO.

i have to ask when you try to play JOTR at all do the laptop feel hot on the bottom of it when this happens?

if so you may have to get some type of laptop cooler to seat it onto so it keep it some what cooler, and if you run it on battier s maybe a good id to plug it into a wall outlet

video chip on the (most) laptop not that great counts what you have and the setting maybe to high for the game to use the video chip in the mob, lower it down a bet see if that workout any
