i go by what the mother broad type can handle and the CPU, my is Pent 4 3.66 (clocked) and it has 533mgz forward

it really counts what your MHz System Bus to match it with your card type.

my can handle three types of cards:

1066/800/533 MHz System Bus

i using the cheaper of them all 533mhz type and they are the DDR2 type cards my mother broad was made for this type card.

basic this card acts like a 2048mb ram card thats why its a DDR2 other wise think it as DDR 2x 1024mb ram card

Double Data Rate

ddr400 clock rates usualy clocs at ddr200 speed that is the correct settings

and the Clock rates dont eman anything really besieds the Clocking rate (confued myself) if your ram is at 200mhz it does NOT make it ddr200 DDR= 2 x 200 = 400 = ddr400
