Beware

Well happy holidays to me, i got a virus ... and guess what the best part is... it spreads through my network supposedly (dont think it has yet), wont let me boot up normal (in safe mode now) and sucks major arse because it infected a system restore file... This is just another warning to folks without virus scanners BUY THEM... they're worth the 50$ or w/e you pay for them, i spent 50 or so on my mcafee and am going friday to buy norton so i cna have double protection because apparently mcafee doesnt do it all.... Anyways hope everyone has a nice holiday and virus free ...

PS always scan files, even audio image or video files, they can have embedded viruses

Norton has great tools for removing worms/virus/trojan horse,
my favorite is "Fix-it 5" it dose the same thing as Norton system works but better with that and "spy sweeper" watches over everthing thats goes on in the back ground.

1.) Fix-it 5 (system works, anitvirus)
2.) Spy sweeper (remove & block them: Tojan, spyware, adware)
3.) Norton Personal Firewall.( Blocks port scan, hackers)

Oh a note to all they say Blast worm don't do a thing to Windows Me its a lie, it seats there and when you upgrade to Windows 2000 or Xp Family it becomes active. best get the tools and run it anyway before you upgrade the system to OEM/NTFS type system.

well yeah because blaster is a trojan, unless you f-disk the system, the file is still there just lying dormant until the files it's looking for become active within the system upgrade, so then it would go active on you
