Dooms Day has come...

Well, it looks like the family computer is INFESTED with spyware and adware...or whatever the hell they're all called. Messages keep popping up from the bottom right of the screen saying that the system is infected with spyware,
and then it prompts me to download some program to remove it all. Ive done that, downloaded 3 programs, but they're all the freakin same! Whats worse is that they wont remove any of these parasites till i register them. And to register, i need to punch in a...key code...well, where the frack is this key code!?

And yeah. Progress is running ultra low and me and my sister are absolutely bloody annoyed with this whole thing.

These...programs have found a ludicrous amount of spyware and adware and all sorts of little nasties. And if my mum finds out, the world will end!

I dont really know what else to do since this has never happened. So, any ideas...anyone? Chief maybe? Any help would be great - EXCEPT suggesting that i buy some program. No can do mates.

EDIT: Turns out half these 'anti-spyware' programs are freakin fake. Thats just great. Cant even browse the net without having to get attacked by these fracking things.

Is there some FREE way to get rid of all these abominations? This sucks. This really does.

Dont browse at all when you dont know how to protect your PC?
http://hostsman.abelhadigital.com/

Install that with the hostsfile that is suggested, and you wont be able to acces certain sites that put that crap onto your pc. Should save you alot of trouble.

Yeah I was gonna say AdAware too lol.

Also front-liner, do you remember HijackThis? The program that helped you to get that stupid little ''MyIMNames'' off of the family computer? Well, do a log and attach it through here.

Then it'll be a lot easier in some ways. We can kill those processes, and eliminate them for good.

HijackThis also somewhat scans for any browser hijacks too...

Well mates, it was a looong night, but i found a program that claims to be blocking all of the pests. Its STOPzilla i think, but like i said, its only blocking the 'enemy', not removing it.

But wow chief, thats quiet a selection there. I'll try each and every one of em.

Thanks for the info mates!

But if you say that STOPzilla is fake, then why has all the popups and trojans stopped flooding in?

Some things get them selves so entrenched on the harddrive that even a format won't completely erase them.

You can even restore some files after a re-format.

If reformating is the only option for getting rid of virus, then I go with a low-level format. it fills the entire drive with 0's, sometimes several times

were you get off telling people to f-disk their system?

it not a option to use its his family computer he was trying to fix it without them (mom & dad) knowing about it.

he f disk it then! they will know real fast and be more tick-off about it.

its Tax time and they do use the Computer other then playing games with.

besides F-disk is not a real asker on getting virus remove at all.

virus stay with in memory as will all so in Bois system, count about the virus type were it located in. redoing the HD some times will make it so hard to remove the virus totally hidden then.

god man why people think the nimbly asker is reformat their Hard drives all the time. not true at all to remove ad ware/virus/melware types.

if you reformat your HD do to a virus better have the
Bois instiller
chip-set instill
Video card software/drivers instill
audio software instill

and disconnect the MOB battery as will for 20min still not always a asker to get a virus remove.

its a cheap asker but not a cure for all ether.
===========================================
on the other hand they could get some type of save system software like " Norton Go back or ghost" or even "Restore-It vr6 or vr7" they cost money to use their a demo on both to download.

Go Back is not really good on super big Hard drives 40GB is mainly good for. Restore-It 7 is sweet i find it nice and work great not a system hog ether as Norton goback is, can't say about Norton Ghost never use it but i hear it all so good, don't know the limits on it

RestoreIt 7 Link: http://www.download.com/3000-20-10586419.html?
