sorry if this has been asked before but i just cant figure it out and i have did some searches on the forums and cant find anything

how do you make the text so small and put a black stroke on the outside of it? when i do it it just looks all blurry and smear together. is there a setting i have to use or something?

you need to pick up select fonts i.e. pixel fonts

the special thing about them is that they look very sharp when anti alias is turned off.

in photoshop this option shows at the top of the screen in the text menu. there is a drop-down menu with the options of 'none' 'smooth' 'sharp' 'crisp' 'strong'

you would choose 'none'

then it's just a case of getting the correct size for that particular font, it is generally between 6 and 12.

the black stroke is easy.

double click the text layer in the layers menu. (bring up layer styles menu)
go to 'stroke'
size = 1
outside
pick colour
