Hosting Question

When I host a game no one can get in Why??

I have a firewall and I have disabled it and still no one can get in... I have a router and took it out and still no one can get in what can I do to make my hosting time better and so my firends can get in ????

Your broadband server may have a built in firewall, have to contact them to find out.

is your XP firewall out? ( if you have XP )

I never heard of server sided firewall ( of ISP ) that will block your games and stuff. If im thinking right, if you cant host you cant play. Unless your ISP actually took the troubles of finding out the porst used for DF2 and so on, on which you play.

No there are lots of broadband companies that prevent hosting to save bandwidth.

Hey thanks for all the help The actull problem was my router it has to use the same Ip address as my pc I un hooked that and then hooked the cable back to the modem like it had to be and hey what do you know I can host games and people can play Thank's for all the help and if you feel like playing my room name is KILL ZONE or you can e-mail on msn at rickX23@msn.com or switzerland_24@yahoo.com
