Incase you don't know, that sig is all against the rules of art. You don't center things and place the in exact corners m8. Throws the eyes all out of wack usually leading us to see the bottom left, which in your case is that fish lol.

It's a nice sig though, just confusing to the eyes.

Take up visual arts in school and you will learn that sort of thing. There are rules and fundamentals that people do not realize.

Be a rebel and break the rules.
Think outside the box. (whatever that means)

You can't break the rules of art... they are natural rules... ones that the eye follows..

Perspective, focus, colors

they exist can't change them, you can try but it only gives you a headache =)

Peoples eyes folow diffrent things all the time, you can't limit what your eyes follow to what lets say my eyes follow.

Rules to art do not exists, maybe preferances, but not rules.

Art:
modes of expression that use skill or imagination in the creation of aesthetic objects.....

Sorry Panther, but you're wrong m8. There are rules of the eye, a few of them are perspective, focus, color.

They are based on the fundamentals of the eye, these can not change. Colors for example don't even exist... It is the light waves that the eye picks up. Can't change that fact.

I dont really think there are rules to art. Guidelines, yes, but rules, no. And you dont even need to follow those guidlines, its just suggested. Ive seen "art" that has been just a huge piece of white paper, with a black dot in the middle. Most "art" is retarded, but computerized art is where the cool stuff is :-P.

yeah, since this is just SUCH an important topic, i'll keep it up by posting. imho, art is art and ppl should leave it @ that. i see these crazy things that look like paint just slopped on some dam canvas and it sells for 1000s just cause the guy who made it is famous OR he calls it "modern art". the only rule/guideline of art is that u should set the price really high if ur selling it, that way ppl think its actually worth something and they'll pretend like they know what's so great about it and say, "oh, this is such a wonderful work of art". they'll FIND something great to say about it, so rich ppl will buy ur work. secret to success, guys. u should be taking notes.
