at a rough guess 235 years and counting, this country so far uses roughly one third of the worlds resources, produces a quarter of it's GDP and falling, has ones of the worlds worst health care programs, has over 10 percent of it's population in prison, one of the worlds most desired countries for illegal aliens, unable to control or regulate it's debt or it's drugs programs and by european standerds has only just got started, consider the UK is coming up to a reign of 2000, years, and the Egyptians lasted for 8000 years....it don't look good for the USA.....guys move to Canada while you got a chance...

LOL

Actually United Kingdom as we know it now was formed in the 1801 when the kingdoms ware united, hence the name, which would make it 210 years old this year

Most countries are around 200 years old so USA is older then it might seem

I pity you Vegimite. You're such an angry, troubled young man. Even when you try to act as a grownup ... you show yourself as such an a$$.

Well the US does have problems. And I'd say it's time to set pride aside and face the fact. America isn't what it used to be.

And actually stompem, the thing is, the majority of people I'm around don't know what their morals or ideals are in the first place.

kinda sad really.

This is true.

America isn't perfect, but it is my home!

I'm proud to be an American.

America is what we make it.

I may not aggree with what my fellow Americans think and feel. Or whatever their morals are. I may not like what they do or say. Bottom line, My morals may not be your morals. My thoughts may not be in line with your way of thinking. But, I will defend my fellow Americans' right to think and say whatever they feel in spite of the fact of wether I think they are right or wrong.

To me ,this is what makes America the greatest country on the face of this Earth.

Remember, freedom is not free. Is was paid for us with a high price.

Same in Australia, I am surrounded by what we call Ferals.

"A feral organism is one that has changed from being domesticated to being wild or untamed."sic

But I keep my standards in the face of it.
Prevail...?
We Australians struggle for pride in our history because of those before us in history...not pretty

Yes Dave you should be proud to be from the USA, its your country, and it's made me very wealthy, even if I own micro$oft stock...lol...I'm merely pointing out that it has and WILL have some serious issues coming up, that may well IMPEND on your future comfort or even existence.
I'm sure you are old enough to have experienced the cold war 1950's-1980's, living with the concept of being blown away in a nuclear holocast over some dumba$$ idology, and thats just 'our' generation, wait till the kids grow up as Greenland will be the place to get some land, even out here in the pacific, we are loosing athols daily (little coral islands).
So long as the USA plays World Policeman it's distracting itself from the real issues thats getting to you daily.

No society is perfect Mermite. And I have read your Sig.

I believe you have a right to say what you want. And I , likewize have the right to disagree when you attack me or my friends or my work or my friends work or my Country. Period.

No Country is perfect. No form of Goverment is perfect. America isn't perfect. Even Australia isn't perfect ( except for AC/DC, lol ). I will be the first to say that many things happening in America I strongly think need to change. I won't go into all those things now because it's JMO and will open up a huge reply of personal opinions.

But I strongly believe that in another couple of centuries America will still be standing.

So the Romans probably said. A country is spoiled before it falls.
