Dont do it your stupid!!! getting shipped of to ****holes like iraq and Afghanistan....

Do your best, dont get fed up by the drill instructors, they only make your life miserable in training.
You have to ask KB on that, hes in the US Army also.
Go for it i'd say.

oww, and before someone is going to say something aboutmy first sentence, ive been there in Iraq, it is a ****hole..

Awww man it's not that bad!

I wasn't going to post but oh well. Not a good time to sign up BB. Try local Fire Department or something if you're feeling patriotic. They get as much action.

Unfortunatley when anyone signs up for the armed forces of any nation, (and forgive me here if I'm stating the obvious), there is always the risk of combat at sometime or other.

Our world is a dangerous place and we never know when or where the next conflict may come from I am just greatful to those men and women who take that risk and dedicate themselves to the defence of our freedom.

The army is a good life in peace time and there are many opportunities for the right person but there is always the chance of that "peace time" being shattered so it's best to think long and hard and I suppose be greatful for being born after the last great global conflict of world war 2 where the choice to join up or not was some what limited.

Warm Regards

good statement BD

Katana ive seen the pictures and videos from Iraq, and other conflicts, i know it is one twisted place.. but its the armys job to be in those situations, to do their job (i wouldn't care if i had to go there, as it would be what im meant to do..)

ive always wanted to be in the army (ever since i can remember) i know its no video game..

i know the risks of been in the army, but i might change my mind during this week away (probably wont)

Dont let the videos and pics scare you off. Ive encountered both bad and good things there. Yeah its a ****hole when there firing there weapons, but the look on the face of thoe that just got a new waterhole or something like that makes it al up.

Like Baddog said, its 1 of the bests jobs in peacetime, but on mission it can turn into hell. And i have to make can like that, it all depends on the location you go to, and the unit your in.

Well, if you see action, you'll meet some of the cruellest in the world, and you'll have dreams... bad ones: and you'll fight along side of some of the most wonderful people in the world, and you'll never, ever forget any of them!

My only regret... I didn't stay in and make a carreer out of it.
