it is really demanding on hardware and lags like heck on a DSL connection.

I just got BF2 as well.

Haven't played any DF games for a while.

BF2 graphics are allot better and the team creation & messaging is very useful.

EA seam to be actively supporting mods and there are 20+ in development already.
They are also working on there 3rd patch.

JO ballistics and scopes feel better than BF2.

The anti-aircraft weapons are pretty useless so most of the time the game is dominated by aircraft.

Unfortunately if you stray too far away from the game map area, you die.

Overall BF2 looks like developing into a real good game, unfortunately nova's games are turning into a pile of c##p.

I would have to disagree, have been playing it on 0.5 mbit connection (DSL) and had no problems what so ever, atleast not with European server, but i'm located in europe to so it might explain it. Get a ping of around 10 - 20 on Swedish servers. 16, 32 or 64 doesnt matter and haven't experienced any lag that I have noticed. just upgraded to 6 mbit now and see not difference (which seems to mean that its not directly demanding that much)

my Xfire: silenttmfa
if any of you want to have a game sometime.

I think my problem with lag was the firewall I had on.

I usually get 70 ping to 124

strike at karkand is da best!!! Good old urban warfare!!! Reminds me so much of DFBHD!!! Bought the game 2 mths ago... played it almost everynite.

actually i had to choose between JointOps & BF2. I end up gettin BF2 coz i've been playing the DF series for quite sometime... so its about time to try on a different engine.
