Sad is there a COBOL programmer in the house??

ok this language is a bit freaky .. after doin c or c++ for 2 year now this language is killin me...hheeeellp with all aspects ....OH MY GOD WHY DID I TAKE THIS LMAO

thats what a lot of people think ... even NASA still uses it COBOL programmers are in high demand still for big corporations.. hertz and enterprose rent-a-car , almost all military bases and the government , even microsift coporation still uses cobol on mainframes...the language is waaayyy weird

each language has its own unique characteristics .. there are some things in COBOL that C or C++ programs would have a problem handling...i prefer programming in c or c++ but in order to be a well rounded programmer you need at least a working knowledge of the logic of all languages

so true ... stand alone apps area a bit harder because as a programmer you have to anticipate what a end user will do..so you have to be meticulous with every step of the logic

I think you should build your own OS Bone and make it compatible with Pc software.

an OS is a huge project id like to be part of but right now i dont know enough assembly language

I knew some.

I have never really gotten terribly deep into any language.

I know some php, some C++ and some assembly.
