Interesting find, thanks.

This might be one battle against Activision that Nova could win.

I play COD:MW3 and so far have not seen that particular image. But if that image does exist then it looks very similar to Novas' DF image!

I agree with --BulletMagnet-- that Nova could win this battle !

If you look through the legal docs there are samples/exhibits. Also that similar logo was used on a headset and special edition xbox 360 hence the reason not just activision but other companies such as Microsoft are also being sued.

Not that I have any fondness for Activision and their milking strategies but what other logo were they going to use?

What do you mean what other logo? Novalogic's logo is theirs, they own it. The logo used by Activision has TINY changes which looks more or less like a blatant copy of a trademarked logo.

Key points:

Delta Force is not a real military unit.
Delta Force name is trademarked by Novalogic under software/games/related products therefore people cannot make the claim that the Chuck Norris movie "The Delta Force" should cause the court case to be tossed. That is a MOVIE, not software/game etc. When you get a trademark there are specifications as to how the owner will use the mark in commerce.
