My thoughts too, although they had seperate sites in the past, www.Jointop******.com use to be, currently they have blackhawkdownthegame.com for their console release.

I figure they will have a basic site that takes you back to novaworld when they release the new PC game.

I don`t think they can copyright names. That is something to general...there are so many "Joe's Restaurants" and "Dick's Markets" in the USA to be able to get away with that.

Takes you back to NovaWorld? It reminds me, the news posts on novalogic.com, Nova are so lazy, whenever they make a news post, they link the title to novaworld.com (regardless of whether there's further info about it on novaworld.com or not) - what happened to the article pages it linked you to on the actual novalogic.com site?

yea they actually can because my aunt knows the owner of a resturant named Denny and he couldn't name his resturant Denny's because there already was one and it is copyright

just like McDonalds, Burger King and stuff are all copy righten names

They don't copyright the game or mission names, they trademark them.

There are major differences between the two.

I should add though, I'm still waiting to see if and when the Angel Falls name appears as a pending trademark or service mark at the US Trademark and Patent Office website.

A service mark is a bit different then a regular trademark. Some of Nova's Marks are both, or just trademarks. For instance their Future Force Warrior is strictly a trademark, not a service mark. This makes me think that whatever project this may have been or will be, that it is a separate entity from the Delta Force Series.

The Unit was also a service mark, so that would of most likely of fallen under Delta Force trademark once again with the service being , The Unit. Of course The Unit CBS tv show was cancelled so I expect any of the chance of this turning into a game are dead, even though the mark is still alive.

Some think those leaked screen shots found last year were showing that possible game, if so then I assume Nova is reworking and tooling their models and such and working towards Angels Falls. Seems like The Unit might of been a set back for them and maybe that is why we havent seen a new game sooner.

But all might be on the right track now since they don't have to worry about a TV show cancelling! LOL

Cuba Libre is service marked and most likely to fall under the Delta Force series, and if this is correct Angel Falls will also be service marked.

Transportation carriers would paint their service marks on their vehicles, such as on planes or buses. Well I found out today that the Priority Action has been Mailed, as of today, 3/3/2008 . That is good news as it shows they want this Trademark/Service Mark registered. To reiterate, most of Novas trademarks/ service marks take a normal/gradual process but this one (Cuba Libre) was given priority. So this is good news
