Hi all. I'm new to the site. Looks great BTW...I've been playing DF games though since the beginning. I was wondering though on the new BHD demo has anyone figured out what that "auto" setting on the elevation in the sniper scope does? And has anyone found that adjusting the elevation doesn't seem to work well? Last night I was trying to hit a guy with the Barret at 780 meters and even with the elevation set to 800 the shot was still falling low. Maybe this is just a problem with the demo?

how will that help? I mean I know how to set the elevation using the ' key. it just doesn't seem to do anything when set to "auto"

auto makes it auto adjust the range
it is not as accurate as lining it up urself though.
it takes some practice but u need to aim higher or lower if the target isnt exactly at x00m. the little dots in the crosshairs are great for that.

i cant explain the range problem u have but it is possibly a glitch.

Thanks Stevie. Yeah I never had a problem with the previous games and I could set the range pretty quick. I thought maybe it was a glitch since it's still not the final game and all I just wan't sure if anyone else had the problem. I usually use the dots on the cross hairs to adjust since it's quicker but I just noticed that guy I was trying to hit was hitting me with one shot. guess he just had more time to set up the elevations. Oh well.

I would be careful useing that auto range, because if you are not right on target there is a posibility of rangeing to say a hill behind your target. Personaly when the final game comes out I think I will just manualy set my ranges.
