Serious Lag Problems

I have cable connection which has always run DF games perfect, within the past week I get 3 second lag in all the servers I join regardless of the ping. I tried turning firewall on and off but it doesnt matter. I dont understand what is going on.

have you had a look at the "supposed" pings in the game? when you ping the server you get like 50 ms, when you're in you get anything from 200-1000 hehe

Yeah my ping is definetely worse than past games in NW servers.

from time to time - yes. but now i cant play anymore

ok if it seem to lag you see upper right top ping on the screen and its around 300-500 its not lagging at all your vidio setting are way too high for your Vidio card lower them setting down in your DF:BLD-Demo in your option you see Vidio up top click-on it then change the setting down keep doing till they are normal or low.test it by playing in single mode

good way to tell is by try to play it offline if the game seem to lag you know its the vidio setting and not by playing it on line.
