Angry Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Far be it from me to complain about a game I've played on for so long but I thought I should give the story a crack after three months MP.

Has anyone got any tips on taking down the Helicopter at what I assume is pretty much the end of the game?

Bloody level is ridiculous. Kinda detracts from the immersion of pretending you are actually a special operations super soldier. I'm still not sure why games like this need to have a mission which is the same as a 1990's end of level boss from any type of game cliche you want to draw on.

It's nonsense but I want to get it done so anyone who has tips or even an idea of how long this bit goes on for would be very gratefully recieved.

bit of advice here : http://www.ocmodshop.com/ocmodshop.aspx?a=1111&p=2874

copied the bit about beating the chopper below, without the very ending which might spoil it for ya

Quote:
Go through the door and watch the quick scene. When you regain yourself,
run to the left and hide behind the block. Just start blasting the chopper
until you hear they used their radio. Ignore the bad guys on the court and just
keep a steady stream of fire on the chopper, and retreat to cover when you
take too much damage. Once you you hear that they have used the radio, the
chopper will stop firing. This is your cue to detach from your cover and stand
back. You'll see it shoot missiles toward you, so sprint to wherever the
missiles aren't going.

Then you'll have to take cover on the right side of this fence. For the moment,
take out a few of the enemies on the court and be ready for the chopper to
attack from the left side this time. You don't have to fire at the chopper
anymore, but do pay attention to when it stops firing. That is your cue to
again run away, this time to the left.

Now quickly kill whoever is on the court and then go to the left side of this
fence to find an opening you can go through. Run across the court and take
shelter in the shack. All that is left now is to gun down the bad guys as they
storm your position and ignore the chopper. Retreat to cover if you are damaged
and just wait for the missile to hit the bird.

I had a hard time with that too but I just kept running between the cover every time the chopper was getting ready to shoot. I didn't wait till I saw the missiles before I started running to the other side for cover. Every time I did that I died. You start running a few seconds before.

Got it done thanks to SB there, cheers.

Silly ending and no mistake but actually quite easy once you get the hidey points right. Still a large dollop of luck if you get through it or not thogh which is criminal in a game thats supposed to be tactical.

Still I earned 200 GP in just unfer an hour which isn't bad in my book.

Sock, for someonewho said you couldn't get a handle on progressing your crackdown rating about 86 hours ago, you've fair blasted it since according to your GP record. Don't be blasting through Fable that quick you'll spoil it for yourself.

After I got my agility upto 4 stars it became alot more fun. Thoes orbs were annoying.

Achievements are addicting! I didn't realize you were playing the campaign on realistic... I gave up on the area before you enter the building where your teammate defuses the bomb.. Couldn't get through that part. Maybe i'll try again now i'm a bit better at aiming.

Yeah. Sit back and pop off the guys roping in, then lob a smoke nade close to your alive buddy, enter and clear the balcony. then go fix the other dude.

And yeah. Gamer Points are a stroke of genius. I hear that PS3 games will be rolling them out too. Pity it's such a crappy platform.

I don't want the points for bragging rights.. I just like the Achievements. I don't know why. It gets me to do things I normally wouldn't do within the game just to get them.

Whoever has the most games can get the most points. It does not mean they will have. I have only played 22 Games yet (including a lot of arcade games) and have near 8,000 GP. There are some people on my list that have played over 40 retail games and have less than half of mine.

Arcade games have 200 GP with an extra 50 for downloaded content.
Retail games have 1000 GP with an extra 250 for downloaded content.

You have to remember though that GP are not always easy to acquire. You can work at getting an Achievement for a long time and still never get it.

suppose you get more out of a game. that's why i'm not too keen on console single player games because i get bored after a few mins, esp if i keep getting stuck/shot , but if ther is something to go for then it would be better. plus i'm a sucker for any stats

I got a buddy (MuFaFu), whos GP are really low despite him playing probably as much MP as I do if not more. I know top end Forza 2 Drivers who only ever play MP with two or three favourite cars. Consequently their points are restricted to whatever MP achievements are available which usually isn't for the majority.

Just as Stocking says, GP points can add to a game by giving you little tasks you might not usually do and sometimes a real sense of achievement. Sometimes there are secret achievements although I can't usually be bothered finding out about those.

The other thing I like is you can see how your mates are doing and you do end up quietly pleased if you've got some your buds haven't. Save The Farmer is a COD4 one that I got easy but a lot of mates never did. Ghilies in the Mist (think it's called) is another COD4 one I just couldn't manage and it does me head in.
You PC usuers just played COD4. Missing out.

The OTHER great thing is you can sometimes get a sense of the game without buying it just by seeing the GP list, so a gmes like Crackdown for instance clearly has more to offer than just the game in itself. (Which is a bloody good thing too).
ANyone who plays it will remember getting the Achievement for finally getting to the top of the bloody tower and jumping off. No need to do it in-game at all.... but we all did.
It's perhaps the best GP list to give as an example. Check out Body and Car Juggler. I could never get the car one, but the body one was easy!

Gamerpoints are total genius and to my mind easily one of Microsofts trump cards of this generation.
(I've edited the list and removed all the ones you would get for just playing the game straight.)

Quote:
Roadkill King (15)
Mow down and massacre 175 gang members while driving

High Flyer (10)
Make your way to the top of the Agency Tower

Firing Squad (15)
Fire away - shoot and kill 500 gang members using firearms

Bare-Knuckle Brawler (15)
Kill 150 gang members with your bare hands (or thrown objects)

Untouchable Agent (15)
Kill 200 gang members without dying yourself

Body Juggler (20)
Use explosives to keep a body up in the air for 10 seconds

Car Juggler (20)
Use explosives to keep a car up in the air for seven seconds

Hazardous Hangtime (10)
Execute a 6-second jump in a vehicle

Driving High (10)
Achieve a height of 115 feet or more in a vehicle

Timed Stunt Driver (20)
Execute six car stunts in 60 seconds

Base Jumper (10)
Jump from the top of the Agency Tower and land in the water below

Orb Hunter (50)
Collect 300 Hidden Orbs

Rampage (20)
Wreak havoc in 60-second increments

Airtime Assassin (10)
Shoot and kill 5 gang members in a single jump (while airborne)

Shot-putter (10)
Throw any object (other than a grenade) 205 feet or more

Global Impact (15)
Kill 15 gang members using the Observatory Globe

Chain Banger (10)
Blow up 100 explosive objects in 60 seconds

Double Trouble (10)
Double your fun - complete your first mission in Co-op mode
All good stuff.
