eek Brothers in Arms

Ever since the Normandy Landing set piece in Medal of Honor I have been looking for a game that matches the intensity that that one scene provided, imo one of the best set pieces in gaming history.

It looks like they have finally done it.

http://www.brothersinarmsgame.com/uk/movies.php?page=1

Take a look at the movie at the bottom of this page, the E3 demo.

Sheer class.
I always thought it important that as games got more sophisticated, they be more authentic and historically accurate, rather than just milking the struggle of others for fun and profit.
This looks like it right here. You lead a squad of men who were actually in the battles that you fight.
The maps are renderings of the exact countryside they fought on (people that have been in development were able to visit normandy and knew where to go from their memory of the game), and you command your team using genuine WW2 tactics. You have to see that vid to see what I am talking about.
I am really interested in this part of our shared history so I am very excited about this game right now.
Hope it doesn't dissappoint!

Looks like one of the links on the site has some fishy stuff. My McAfee caught and deleted it. Some kind of trojan.

McAfee is very good at that. It was mcAfee that found the Teamspeak Trojan and McAfee that made two of my squad mates delete one of their games. Both bogus alerts.
The TS one caused all sorts of trouble for the poor old hard working TS team.

Well I've tested Trend Micro, Norton, Symantec, McAfee, being a QA guy, for a project at work, for personal and enterprise level security. McAfee came out with flying colors. It intercepted 99.9999% of trojan, viruses, worms, and god know what else. I would never trust the former three. McAfee all the way baby!

They say right now only 2 on 2 multiplayer

Boring...

I'd rather play coop multiplayer. That would be way fun.

The online multplayer doesn't look very promising...if it even has one. It certainly doesn't look like it's going to be anywhere near the real scope of WWII. If I had to go by what they're saying, it'll be lucky to get a 10 man server online mp for PC. Sad...
