Tutorials and tidbits wanted

I'm starting to create maps for BHD and TS. I have made maps for Operstion Flash Point and just about every FTS game from Quake to Serious Sam, Doom, and others.

I found that this map editor has a lot to be desired, including no mouse movement commands.
But for lack of another editor, I will use it.

I'm looking for anything that will help.
I printed the manual and have gone throuth the tutorials.

I have a friend who just got the game and I want to create him a training map. Ya know? Like he walks thru all the stuff but the enemy is a little retarted. This way he can get the movements down. This is his first computer game. In fact he'd inhis 40's (Me too) and never played on a PC before.

So I thought it would make a great learning tool for me to make my first map to help others.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks

Gary

Mouse control.
Hold down left shift and then right cklick on your mouse. Hold the mouse button down and move the mouse sideways.

Hold down left CTRL and then right click on any place on your map.

Nice. Thanks. I really started playing hard with the editor last night. I mean I gave it a good workout.
I like moving the players and stuff w/ the crsr keys. never knew that. And they rotate too. All I used before was the r-click menus.

Still need help though.
I'm still in the dark on the little score thing that comes up on the left side when you press Tab. The one that shows you what to need to do, and what you did.
I'm sorting that out now.

I did manage to start off in a Blackhawk, and land it. I found a beach scene and jumped from the helo into the water. That was cool. I learned how to put in bad guys that are bad shots for my buddys tutorial.

I'm almost there. The 3d part was a bit hard at first.

I'm a programmer so I think I understand the if then events.
I'm working on area triggers now, and I'm only into this 4 hours.

Any help would be great. And any tutorials and links too.

Thanks
Gary

What is the secret of making maps in co-op?

I have tried to decompress the co-op maps using BHDBMS2MIS, but it crashes on every one.

What can I use? I'm not trying to steal ideas here, but I wanted to know how to get the guys to attack you including thet sweet little bird, which is totally cool.
And also how do I add 2 players on the same team.

A link to an open map woule be most welcome.

I just tried using the single player mode, but in the General section, I checked off co-op. If that does not work, I'll send you my test map and see if it helps you.

Did you get the co-op patch for the exe itself? You need that. and DON'T PATCH the orgional.

I haven't used a co-op patch, but have been running a server manager, with great success hosting co-ops and all the other types of maps.
