Not much but:

Quote:
The news that Left 4 Dead 2 will be effectively banned in Australia came as a shock to the folks at developer Valve, VP of marketing Doug Lombardi has told Shacknews.

"We were surprised to hear of this news yesterday," the executive informed us. "Obviously, everyone at Valve is pretty bummed."

Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification refused to classify Left 4 Dead 2 due to its "realistic, frenetic and unrelenting violence" and gore, effectively banning the zombie shooter sequel as unrated games cannot be sold down under by law.

"It would be a shame if folks in Australia, or anywhere else, are unable to purchase Left 4 Dead 2 because of a ratings issue," Lombardi lamented.

Left 4 Dead 2 hits PC and Xbox 360 elsewhere in the world on November 17, packing a new cast, five campaigns, new enemies, and ratings board-enraging melee weapons.

What?
You've done sociological studies that prove this right?

Reactionary nonsense.
Shame on you.

No I have not, but its easy to see how a little 6 or 7 year old would think that shooting peoples head off is SOOOOOO coool (not) that the next thing you know he's grabbing daddy's hand gun out of the closet and shooting his little sister or something not knowing the reality of what happens when you shoot someone.

I'm not putting the game down guy, I'm just saying that under no circumstances should little kids be allowed to play such a game. but again, banning it from everyone in aus is still not right either....

Well! I do know of a 16 year old fat kid, that don't like girls, with a VERY strong interest in SNAKES, and who claims his best weapon is an AK47, and claims repeatadly the devil is within us all, and if you look carefully you can SEE him shoot a NOOB
if that aint a mixture for a CUSTODIAL CONFUSION, I don't know what is...!

I sold it, at last not on Ebay Aussie, but 'AT A PROFIT' to an Aussie, just because it's banned, hell! I shoulda bought 10 cases they'd go like hot cakes

Inevitably, age restriction or no age restriction, kids will look at this game and will want to shoot people's heads off. It's up to the parents to try and avoid that - simple.
