2 comp's on same lan probs

I have two computers on same network via a Linksys BEFSR41 router software version 1.42.7 and XP pro on both machines. My problem is that both computers can play in the same BHD server, but not in the same LW and TFD server, regardless if its public or nova server. Both computers has its own copy of the games installed. Both computers also has NWLINK IPX/SPX/NetBIOS protocol installed. Also can not play games together via LAN/IPX option. Any ideas?

I had the same problem when I first got my second computer just before TFD came out. I found out that you need a "real" IP address for each one when playing LW or TFD. I called my ISP and ordered 1 more IP #'s ($4 USD) and it was fixed.

I now have a setup with 2 routers, 3 computers with different operating systems, a digital broadband phone and my PS2 running on the same connection with no trouble.

I also have set up the Linksys throught the Uplink port instead of the WAN.

Well, I fixed the not able to play in same server problem. I updated the router software to the latest version..DUH!!!!
Have not fixed the internal play via LAN/IPX option.

we had 3 lan pcs on the same ip in one server. one was always really laggy though.:/
